About the Hungarian Atlantic Council

The Hungarian Atlantic Council is a non-profit, non-governmental organization that was established in 1992 and reorganized in 1999. Its original mission was to promote Hungary’s accession to NATO and to support the broader acceptance of Euro-Atlantic principles and values within Hungarian society. In 1999, the organization was restructured as a public benefit company and has since remained active in strengthening transatlantic relations.
