On July 8, 2025, Robert Palladino, Chargé d’Affaires of the United States, was the guest of the Presidency of the Hungarian Atlantic Council. The event was hosted by the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.
The meeting provided an opportunity to review the various issues and problems concerning America and American strategies. In particular, the situation in Ukraine was discussed, as well as the challenges facing the Middle East.
In addition to a review of global politics and overall US grand strategy, a special focus was given to a closer examination of Hungarian-American relations, which in addition to the political and economic fields also covered military cooperation between the two countries.
The possibility of closer cooperation between the Embassy and the Hungarian Atlantic Council was discussed, especially in view of the commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the United States of America in 2026.
